- Data Visualizer - - - Overview - Explain briefly the various panels of the data visualizer - - - Left bar: Selection of chart type, input parameters and options for your visualization. - - - Top bar: Buttons for updating your visualization, saving as favorite, downloading and viewing data table. - - - Viewport: The area where the visualization will be rendered. - - - - - Quickly create a minimal chart - - - Select a few indicators and click Update. - - - - - Change the Chart type - - - Set chart type to Line chart and update. - - - Observe how the data trend is visualized over multiple months. - - - - - Change the data Series, Category and Filter - - - Set chart type to Column chart. - - - Set category to organisation unit and filter to period. - - - Open Periods panel in the left bar, unselect Last 12 months and select This year. - - - Open Organisation Units panel in the left bar. - - - Right-click on the top organisation unit and click Select all children, then click update. - - - Observe how the the visualization is comparing the organisation units. - - - - - Change Indicators - - - Remove the currently selected indicators by using the double-arrows. - - - Select an indicator group. - - - Select several indicators by double-clicking on them, then click update. - - - Repeat the process for data elements, which will display the aggregated numbers. - - - Repeat the process for reporting rates, which will display percentages for data sets. - - - - - Change Periods - - - Open Periods panel in the left bar. - - - Select Last 4 quarters, and click update. - - - Observe all the available relative periods and how they are rendered in the chart. - - - - - Use the Chart options - - - Create a line chart with one indicator and periods as category. - - - Select the Trend line option and click update, observe the trend line in the chart. - - - Insert a Target line value and Target line label, observe the target line in the chart. - - - Insert a Baseline value and Baseline label, observe the baseline in the chart. - - - - Line chart with trend line, target line and baseline. - - - - - - - - - Save as Favorite - - - Click on the Favorite button on the top bar, then on Manage favorites. - - - Insert a name, click save and close the window. - - - Open favorites again and reload the favorite by clicking on it in the list. - - - Explore how you can put the chart in the dashboard in the dashboard module and open it in data visualizer by clicking on the Explore link. - - - - - Download chart to local computer - - - Click on the Download button on the top bar. - - - Download as image file (in PNG format) by clicking on Image (PNG). - - - Download as PDF document by clicking on PDF. - - - - - View data in Data table - - - Click on the Data table button and view the data in the table. - - - Observe how the columns can be sorted by clicking on the the column headers. - - - - -
